In plain language
- Changed your mind? Ask us within 7 days of your first plan charge and we will refund it in full.
- Forgot to cancel? Ask us within 3 days of a monthly renewal, or within 7 days of an annual renewal.
- Annual plans are a 12-month commitment. After the 7 days, we do not refund unused months.
- You get one courtesy refund per account.
- A refund ends your paid plan right away, and your store moves to the Free plan.
- Canceling stops your next renewal. It does not refund the current period.
- Please ask us, not your bank. A refund is faster. A dispute ends your paid plan with no refund of the time left.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers what you pay us, Vertyco LLC ("we", "us"), for a paid plan on the platform. It is part of our Terms of Service. It does not cover purchases buyers make from merchants. Those refunds are between the buyer and the merchant, as our Terms explain.
2. Courtesy refunds
We will refund a plan charge in full if you ask us within these windows:
- Your first charge for a paid plan: within 7 days of the charge.
- A monthly renewal: within 3 days of the renewal charge.
- An annual charge, first or renewal: within 7 days of the charge.
- Switching to a higher plan: the charge for the switch has the same window as a renewal of that plan (3 days if monthly, 7 days if annual).
You can get one courtesy refund per account, ever. After you have used it, plan charges are not refundable, except under section 3. The limit also covers other accounts that belong to the same person or business, or that use the same payment method.
3. Charges we made by mistake
If we charged you twice for the same period, charged you after you canceled, or charged the wrong amount, tell us and we will refund the mistaken charge. These refunds are not limited by the windows in section 2 and do not use up your courtesy refund.
4. Annual plans
An annual plan costs less than paying monthly for a year. We give that lower price in exchange for your commitment to the full 12 months, paid up front.
- Each annual charge pays for the whole 12-month term that starts on the charge date. The term cannot be shortened.
- The only refund of an annual charge is a courtesy refund within 7 days of that charge (section 2), or a refund of a charge we made by mistake (section 3).
- After those 7 days, we do not refund, prorate, or credit any part of an annual charge. This includes months you have not reached yet, months you did not use the platform, and months after you cancel or move to a lower plan.
- Not using the platform does not make a charge refundable. The service stays available to you for the whole term.
- Canceling an annual plan only turns off the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the 12-month term you paid for.
- We email you about 21 days before each annual renewal, with the date, the amount, and a link to cancel. If you still miss it, you have 7 days after the renewal charge to ask for your courtesy refund, if you have not used it.
5. What we do not refund
We refund whole charges only. We do not give partial refunds, prorated refunds, or credits for unused time on any plan. This includes the rest of a month or year after you cancel, time after you move to a lower plan, and time you did not use the platform. Outside sections 2 and 3, plan charges are non-refundable.
6. What happens when we refund
When we refund a plan charge, your paid plan ends right away. Your account and storefront stay open on the Free plan, and Free plan limits apply from that moment. Your records and exports stay available. If you want a paid plan again later, you can buy one at the price shown on the Plans page.
7. Canceling is different from a refund
You can cancel any time from the Plan page in your dashboard. Canceling stops your next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your store moves to the Free plan. Canceling on its own does not refund anything. If you are inside a window in section 2, ask us for a refund as well.
8. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or use the Request a refund link on your Plan page. Tell us which charge (date and amount). Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with. How long the money takes to show up depends on your bank. We reply within 2 business days. If you asked inside a window, the refund counts as on time even if we process it after the window ends.
9. Please ask us before you contact your bank
If a plan charge looks wrong, or you want a refund, contact us first. We can usually fix it faster than a bank can. If you open a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card company on a plan charge instead:
- your paid plan ends immediately, and you lose the rest of the period (including the rest of an annual term) with no refund;
- we can no longer refund that charge, because the bank handles it from then on; and
- you may not be able to buy a paid plan again.
The full rules are in Plans, billing, and disputes in our Terms of Service. Contacting us first does not stop you from contacting your bank later.
10. When we may say no
We may refuse a courtesy refund if the account broke our Terms of Service during the period being refunded, or if we see refunds being used repeatedly through linked accounts. We never refuse a refund under section 3.
11. If we end your plan
If we close your account or end your paid plan without cause, meaning not because you broke our Terms, we refund the unused part of the period you prepaid.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the version in force when you were charged applies to that charge. The date at the top of this page shows when the current policy took effect.
